@d $motd, should show a list of misc vars.  You want to change
$motd,notes I think.  You can change it with:

;as $motd; notes = [];

Will just clear it.  This has been converted to settings (or will soon
be, i'm in the process of bringing $motd up to day) on the Cold Dark.
