[Coldstuff] How did ColdCore 'use' a character?

Ok, so ColdCore just had character handling to the point of having them
exist but not used in play, that's fine, it means I didn't miss anything
when I was digging. :)

So how did people here handle the switchover when a player comes in, sees
his list of characters, and picks one to actually play in the game?

It never did anything, it was an example of how it could be done.
