The other alternative is to write a daemon (in ColdC) that groks SQL or some 
other standard query language then makes appropriate changes in the object 
space.
As for storing functions in a database you could use the VARCHAR type to 
store arbitrary binary data in database cells.

Any other solution would depend on the particular application and why you 
ned access to Cold's object system through another language.  Another daemon 
you could use accepts coldc instructions from the client and posts results 
of the command back to the client.  The latter idea is about as secure as an 
eyehook and hook-latch as a door lock.
