There are pre-compiled binaries of patch8 available at:

    ftp://ftp.cold.org/cold/bin/

We currently have:

    FreeBSD 2.1-R
    Solaris 5.5
    Ultrix 4.4
    OSF/1 (DEC Alpha) -- YES, it WORKS!
