I've got a plugin for tkMOO-light that allows you to get out through a
firewall.  It really opens a connection to the local telnet gateway and
then issues a seccond 'connect mooname port' to get you out to the
MOO.

The code is specific to the gatway used at MITRE, but you could hack it
to make it more specific to your own gateway.  The code is largely
untested but you're welcome to take a look.  copy the file to
~.tkMOO-lite/plugins/gateway.tcl and restart your client (works for
0.2.62 and above).
