question about genesis

I am attempting to use both coldcore and genesis as per the instructions
on your web page.
When I do the make on genesis it runs for a while then, so I believe,
completes. However,
on your webpage, when it comes to coldcore it states that compiling
genesis will leave behind
the two files, genesis and coldcc, yet when I try to locate them they
are no where to be found.

It this because I am using RedHat linux or is there any other helpful
advice you can give to me?
