i'm with erik on this; there's nothing at all in the spec preventing you from implementing this functionality, and i'm not sure there's any advantage to specifying it in the spec; if it turns out that an awful lot of people want this use of the multiline value field (as opposed to some other) we'll put it in the next rev. see? i AM listening. i'm just slow. dk
